Carmel’s specialisation is developing computer models to undertake complex data analysis. Carmel has built a number of bespoke models for APC in addition to undertaking cost benefit analysis, waste, financial and environmental modelling. Her background in waste management enables her to tailor the analysis to the needs of waste practitioners, policy makers, analysts, consultants and waste management companies alike, pitched to the level of detail and in the format required for maximum benefit to the audience. Carmel has undertaken extensive work in the waste and sustainability sector and has a detailed understanding of the complex issues surrounding waste together with highly developed Excel and Visual Basic skills. She has a strong portfolio in providing cost benefit analysis expertise on waste strategy and options assessment projects in Australia, UK and the Middle East. She has been a key player on several life cycle assessments and carbon accounting analyses for waste management systems, often incorporated into the cost benefit process.
Carmel holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and Master’s in Engineering – Sustainable Waste Management.
